The purpose of the test is to determine which anti-malware scanners will detect new, not so old and old threats. The samples in the test is a rogue applications only.
About the Extra test
The Extra test is available in the full test's result (compressed excel file). It is the result of the detections by 8 malware scanners and other 32 malware scanners using the service of Virustotal.com to detect INSTALLERS (not the traces) of rogue samples.
