Star Apple Computers recently released their Windows version of the Safari browser. In beta testing Safari, it has performed well and been reliable. While the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera offer advanced functionality, Safari offers an easy-to-use interface and excellent performance, as a complementary browser.

Please tell me you are being facetious.  If Microsoft did this, they'd be hung, drawn and quartered.

D'you know, I *cannot* allow my users to update QuickTime on their own, because if I did my corporate network would end up with iTunes as well.. now, they'll end up with Safari.. you know.., Safari with no anti-phishing filter...

Just one more programme for me to monitor for security vulnerabilities and updates... oh yeah, that's right.. I can't use Apple's auto-update facility because Apple doesn't just patch existing stuff.. they try to install *new* stuff.

Well I say this.. *** Apple... how *dare* you offer to "update" a programme that is not installed on any of my systems in the first place.

Hi Sandi - Yes, I agree with your concerns, esp. from a corporate support perspective.  I don't use Quicktime on any of my PCs, so you have to be careful in what you download/install.   I am mainly testing the functionality of the browser on my home PC at this time.
