I have worked with Microsoft's SBS product since 2001, as a consultant, as an end user, and as a Microsoft MVP for SBS.
As a consultant, I look for products that are good for my customers - both from price as well as feature content to match their needs. SBS was a product that immediately caught my attention and interest. And that is no easy thing to say-- coming from a person who had worked exclusively with Unix/Linus OS's for the prior 15 years!
I often read posts from people who are afraid of using SBS, afraid of using the wizards, afraid of implementing ISA or SQL. Take it from someone who had never touched a Windows Server prior to installing SBS for the very first time --- SBS works! The Wizards work! Rely on the group experience and knowledge that you can find in the public SBS newsgroup.
Personally, I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. For the past 4 years I was Vice President for Client Technology Support for a company that uses SBS. I also have done the "Song of the Week" for the public SBS newsgroup for many years. So, naturally, I love music --- from the Beatles to Broadway, from Chet Atkins to Earl Klugh, from Sting to Allison Krause!
But computers are not everything in my life. Making this a better world for all of us to live in and to raise future generations, building better and closer relationships, and enjoying all the blessings that God showers on us every day.
