http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp > download > select O/S and language > check accept License Aggreement > choose Windows Offline Installation > click on the executable URL > save to desktop.
Ensure you uninstall Java Runtime Update 3 from Add/Remove Programs.
