Windows Mobile 5 Push Technology, SBS and the KJAM.

I am delighted to report that once I downloaded and installed the latest KJAM ROM from imate.com this evening it took me a grand total of 30 Minutes to get my Windows Mobile 5 phone receiving email quicker than my desktop!   Small Business Server 2003 made it really easy as I had a self signed certificate pre-prepared for me.

This is such a cool technology...   now I can finally get my emails without having to manually synchronise or synchronise without any email being there for me.  I can also ensure that any Windows Mobile device on our network is secure and if stolen can be remotely wiped.    It worked without any issue even on Vodafone Ireland's network.   No more Blackberries for my clients :)

Basically as emails hit your mailbox, there is a "kind of" SMS message that is sent to your phone telling it to sync. It is not a SMS message that the phone will see in the text messages, but one that the current version of Windows Mobile will recognise.

I agree, it is a nightmare to debug...
