Twins, in fact…. Sarah, the other sister, not yet mentioned on this blog, just called at gave out to me that Amanda had been mentioned but she had not.
So here it is Sis… I am spreading the word that you too are intelligent, wonderful, important, and…. now known to the world! The thing is, you will now need to fight off all the ubergeeks that come here and read this thing…
As you said, you have done amazing things too…. Amanda produces amazing hairstyles, you produce amazing children!

Why write a long post with my thoughts, when some else has already.
Well said Chad, well said…
Today, I have been remotely connected to a server. This server just stopped functioning after Windows 2003 SP2 was applied. Basic networking functions kind of “half work”, ISA fails, DNS fails……
You guessed it… this is the famous Broadcom driver issue again, but this time I have done all the hacks.
It still does not work. Un-installing SP2 fixes everything… I would avoid this service pack at all costs.
The testing structure in Microsoft has a SERIOUS issue. I do not know who is responsible, but whoever you are, please fix it immediately!
The new WSUS 3.0 server is due for release next week, which is good news for administrators everywhere. The better news is that, a few weeks later, the WSUS 3 client will also be released which will help further with the CPU spiking and high memory use.
I have called into MS for this updated WSUS 3.0 client, and it has fixed 100% of my SVCHOST issues when installed with KB927891, so I suggest that you get these two things installed on any machine you have ASAP!
As Phil has mentioned, Beta 3 of FSX has been posted to the testers. Whilst they are a month or so delayed (I mean, come on… what project isn’t), the wait will be worth while.
Then you have found the right place, as there is – at this time – no other place on the web, including GFI’s pages, where you can Google epssvr.exe and get a good answer.
To fix this, just download this zip file and follow the instructions.
Cheers!
Thanks to Mark Stanfill for this
excellent post on SP2 issues with SBS.
It should be noted that a lot of what he mentions also applies to Windows 2003 + ISA 2004 installations as well.
In an attempt to sort out the msmvps.com site, I spent last night cleaning out the databases (over 9gb of pure shite). Community Server really should have an option (an easy one to find) that either purges or stops the logging at certain limits.
Anyway, Susan also upgraded us to Community Server 2007 last night. Because of that some of the skins on the blogs will look different, over the next few days we will get it sorted.
You know, I keep missing the scoop….. but for those that did not read it, the fsinsider.com site has had a facelift. Be sure to check it out and get subscribed to those RSS feeds!
Respect to Niall O’Keeffe, a blogger just up the road from me, who found these three great YouTube videos.

One day, I am going to click that link in outlook, and the page it takes me to will not say Check back soon for updates!
I forgot to post this, but I had the issue again today so I was reminded!
I posted on this thread back in January about how the Broadcom issue on SBS with ISA was driving me crazy. Well, since then I simply avoid Broadcom cards and still will.
However, one of the comments on that thread from Victor in Dell (thanks!) mentioned that disabling the Receive Side Scaling would fix the issue. I posted back that this did not work, but that was prior to installation of SP2 for Windows.
I can confirm that doing this on a post SP2 machine does indeed fix the issue on the Dell servers I have tested today.
More on the same problem on the SBS Blog
OK, can I be one of the first to point out that twitter is a load of balls. I mean reading a blog is one thing, but putting up pointless one liners is another… How can this thing be useful to anyone?!
Well, this is certainly great news. Pity we’ll have to pay a premium for it though.
Maybe most will just continue to use QTFairUse to decrapify their music downloads?
