Welcome to the fold.

Yeah, like you're going to, I still have a tinge of envy for the MVP award recipients, and their ability to say whatever they like without being quoted as "a Microsoft representative said..."

You're also going to find yourself expected to defend every decision made by Microsoft, including past ones made well before your hire date, with the assumption that you have SteveB's ear. So, my last word is to provide you with a key phrase:

"I was not involved in making that decision; it's not my department. I can not comment as to whether or not I agree with it. If you're having problems that you can't resolve for yourself using our comprehensive online documentation, please call customer support services."

Of course, as a consultant, you'll probably not be able to use that last part.
